Based on the serious consideration into our social responsibilities with regard to the importance of personal information protection in connection with the application of IT to medical information, we, SRL Medisearch Inc.
declare that we promote the protection of personal information preventing it from incidental and accidental leakage and abuse, etc.
For this purpose we will keep all the constituents of the company (directors, employees, junior employees, temporary employees, etc.) informed thoroughly of the importance of the personal information protection, namely;

1.Definition of personal information by SRL Medisearch Inc.

Personal information is defined as information that concerns an individual including the description such as name, date of birth and other relevant details such as number, symbol or other code assigned to the individual and any images or sounds, by which an individual can be identified.
This includes information that does not serve by itself solely but that does serve easily for the personal identification when collated with other information.

2.Observance of laws and regulations

The laws and regulations concerning personal information protection must be strictly observed.

3.Safety measures

Our policy is to take preventive measures against the forecasted hazard to which the personal information is exposed, such as illegal access, loss, destruction, alteration and leakage.
Should an incident or accident occur, we would promptly apply suitable countermeasures.

4.How to protect the personal information that we have access to during our services

We treat in confidence strictly all the personal information, to which we have access during our services, in accordance with the relevant laws, regulations and in-house rules at every moment of services namely at collection, utilization, disclosure and transference.

5.Personal information given to us by sponsors and medical institutions

・Collection and Utilization

We never use the personal information disclosed to us in connection with the execution of our services for any other purpose than for good conduct of such services in compliance with the instructions in the relevant SOP.

・Disclosure

We never disclose to any third party any personal information provided to us in connection with our services exceeding the limit defined by the GCP (Good Clinical Practice).

・Outsourcing or Subcontracting of Services

When it is considered necessary to outsource or subcontract whole or a part of our services to an outside company, we select such company that fulfils our appraisal standard concerning the personal information protection.
We oblige such company to perform the services in compliance with our personal information protection standard by contract and daily vigilance of their conduct as well.

6.Continuous Improvement

We promote the recognition of the importance of personal information protection among all our staff and continually improve the system and management method for the protection of personal information.
